EDITING AN EXISTING NAME

On the main page, search for the name you want, then select the “Edit” button to the left of it.

On the next page, fill in the fields below (*=optional):

  • Title (Dr. Professor, etc)*
  • First name
  • Last name
  • Suffix (Sr., Jr, etc)*
  • Hebrew Name in Hebrew* (The easiest entry method is to copy and paste the Hebrew from another program. If the individual does not have a Hebrew name, but you do not wish for their memorial page to display the synagogue’s default Hebrew expression, enter a single blank character in this field.)
  • Gender (Defines how gendered wording on the personal memorial page is formatted, i.e., “May His/Her/Their Memory Be A Blessing”)
  • Family ID* (Can be used to match the family ID record in your synagogue’s primary database)
  • Observer* (Select a primary observer if more than one. This information will not appear on the touchscreen; it is only for data management purposes)
  • Relationship* (Select the relationship of the deceased to the observer)
  • Plaque Status* (Lets synagogue track whether digital plaques are permanent, temporary, or conditional based on membership status of observer)
  • Date of Birth* (Date will appear on the personal memorial page if entered)
  • Yahrzeit Date On Gregorian Calendar (The Gregorian date of death must always be entered, including the year, even if the name is intended to display on the individual’s Hebrew date of death.)

ALWAYS REMEMBER TO CLICK “SAVE CHANGES” BEFORE LEAVING THIS PAGE OR YOU WILL LOSE ANY DATA YOU ENTERED.
